HAAD Exam Registration and Scheduling

HAAD Exam Registration and Scheduling in Pearsonvue Online:
  1. Create an account at http://www.pearsonvue.com/haad/capva/. You need  to pay the required fee using a credit card
  2. You must meet all of the eligibility criteria for your specialty in order for your application to be approved.
  3. Once credentialing has been done and approved by HAAD, Pearson VUE will email a username and password to you within 48 hours that you may use to schedule your examination date using the following options: 1. Schedule Online or 2. Schedule by Phone
  4. After scheduling your exam, you will receive a booking confirmation by email within 48 hours for the date and location that you will sit the exam. If you do not receive the booking confirmation within 48 hours or if any of the information is incorrect, please contact Pearson VUE immediately using one of the following methods:
      1. Phone: +971 4 453 5380
      2. Phone from the UAE: 04 453 5380 between 08:30 and 17:00 UAE time, Saturday to Thursday, excluding Fridays and UAE holidays
      3. Email: haadcustomerservices@pearson.com.
  5. Print your booking confirmation and bring it with you to the test centre.
  6. Taking HAAD exam:
Attention: Please make sure that you check your spam and junk email folders as it is possible that candidate correspondence from Pearson VUE could automatically go to one of these folders. All correspondence from Pearson VUE will end with “@pearson.com.”


Before you go to the test center:
  1. Ensure that you bring the correct identification for admission to the test centre:
  2. Please be prepared to show two (2) forms of valid, original identification, one of which must have your signature:
    1. Passport
    2. AND Another form of government/official issued identification, such as a driving license or other photographic identification.
  3. Important:
    1. If you do not bring the correct identification with you to the test centre, and are refused admission, payments for the exam and delivery fees are non-refundable or transferable to another exam date.
    2. Photo copies of identification will not be accepted for admission to the test centre.
    3. Print out and bring a copy of your booking confirmation from Pearson VUE to the test Centre.
    4. We ask that you arrive at the test centre 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will give you adequate time to complete the necessary sign-in procedures.
  4. Important:
    1. It is your responsibility to arrive for your test appointment on time. Please take traffic and other possible delays into consideration when planning your trip to the test centre.

  5. If you arrive late (15 minutes or more), your admission to the test centre will be at the test centre’s discretion. If you are refused admission, payments for the exam and delivery fees are non-refundable or transferable to another exam date.
  6. Arrival and taking the exam at the test centre:
    1. You will be required to check in at the reception desk at the Test Centre where you will present your two (2) forms of valid, original identification (please see refer to identification requirements in previous section).
    2. The test centre staff will verify your appointment time, identity, take a photo of you and collect your signature on an electronic signature pad.
    3. You will be given the Candidate Rules that contain the terms conditions for sitting the exam. It is your responsibility to read and understand the terms and conditions of sitting a Health Authority of Abu Dhabi examination.
    4. The Test Centre Administrator will provide you with a locker and key to store all of your personal belongings after check in. You may not bring any personal belongings into testing room.
      1. This includes but is not limited to the following:
        1. Mobile telephones
        2. Blue Tooth headphones
        3. PDAs
        4. Handbags
        5. Books
        6. Paper
        7. Drinks and food of any kind
        8. Medicines
        9. Pens, pencils, markers
    5. Once check in is complete you will either be asked to wait in the reception area or you will be escorted into the testing room.
    6. You will be admitted into the test room and assigned a testing station with a computer, mouse and keyboard. The Test Centre Invigilator will log you into the testing station and you will be ready to start the exam.
      1. No additional material such as handheld calculators, pen and paper will be provided.
      2. The exam will have an onscreen standard function calculator available for use.
    7. A short tutorial on the exam interface will be available onscreen before the exam begins.
    8. Breaks are permitted during the exam however the exam will not be stopped during the break and the exam time will continue count down and cannot be made up.
    9. Once you have completed the exam, you will be escorted out of the testing room and taken to the Reception desk to be checked out of the Test Centre.
      1. The test centre administrator will give you a printed Score Report that indicates whether you have passed or failed the exam.
      2. Please note that your exam result is one component of your HAAD licensure application process. If your application does not fulfil all of the required components of HAAD eligibility criteria, you will not be licensed to practice.
      3. Your exam results will also be sent automatically to the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi.
